We had so much fun spending a week in Phan Rang and this resort! Phan Rang itself is a charming little local town with great food and friendly people! The resort was very good, we loved their breakfast, our villas, the beach, the pool and the staff! We will be back! Thank you for having us. We had such a wonderful time!
We planned to have a two night break, between Phan Thiet and Cam Ranh, and chose this Hotel. The hotel is new, clean and located at a beautiful beach. But, we have experienced a lot of inconveniences: - closed pool bar - all restaurants closed to guests due to events - no room service available - no hot water for the shower in the evening - no working television - loud music until 05am They had two evening events, but this should not be a reason to neglect the “normal” guests (or at least inform them in advance that there is no food available!) We have paid two nights, but checked out after the first night.
Phan rang is a ghost town, it's sad but true - felt like north Korea 😅 The government have tried to make this a new tourist city and invested in infrastructure. There are several huge hotel projects that are standing still and there are barely any other tourists around. Most staff and citizens here don't speak English and the whole building is built without quality. The hotel lunch restaurant is closed due to lack of guests so there are no options for lunch... You hear everything through the walls and from outside. We regret going here, be aware that weather is also slight colder than the south, even during high season.
My family had 5 day vacation at this great resort. Not much information was available, so I had some difficulty making decision about which resort/hotel to choose. So I hope my review will help those who are in the same shoes that I was before. (In appreciation of hospitality the resort had shown me during my stay, I am spending some time to write a thorough review.) The facility is very clean and well managed. I am evaluating this part in comparison to world class 5 star hotels. No, it doesn't have all the facility that 5 star hotels have. However, Hoan My resort does a great job in keeping its facility clean and neat. For example, they ensure the pool water stay very clean. we used the pool for 5 days straight, and I don't think I saw anything in the water that bothered me. Those who travel to resorts often would know that it's very difficult to keep the pool water as clean as they do here - it requires a lot of manpower. The room is very clean, and the housekeeping department will do their best to keep you happy. Various room styles are very convenient for those who come for family vacation. We stayed in two bedroom - it was great. Hospitality of the staff is also very impressive. I don't think I had a moment of dissatisfaction in regards to how the staff interacted with me during the 5 days. They were more than willing to help on the things you ask for. The location is good if you are looking to stay right in front of the beach. My children had a good time in the sand after sunset, and it's a private beach. Meanwhile, if you are looking for most of your activities in the city area, keep in mind that it will cost you from 80k on grab taxi ride. I went to Winmart in Vincom everyday, and the resort to vincom is about 40k ride. With this information, you'd get an idea about transportation cost. The only room for improvement is food. The breakfast buffet is quite good, but the kitchen closes after breakfast. So practically there is no kitchen after breakfast - meaning there is no poolside bar you could order food and drink, no room service with f&b. (There is a restaurant right next to the resort, but it's not a typical resort kitchen you order room services from) Will i return to this resort? YES. Do i recommend this resort to other travelers? YES. I hope next time there would be F&B ready so I don't have to order grab food (they weren't very good despite several attempts from various restaurants).
