Huge water stain on the wall, bathroom door would slide open of its own accord and the bed was very hard (although the hard bed seems to be the norm in Vietnam) and our fridge wasn't workibg for the first day, had to ask twice for it to be fixed. Staff were friendly with passable English and breakfast was limited but nice enough, although we did think maybe the eggs made us a bit ill one day. The location is fine if you like the busle of authentic streets but not if you are looking for more peace (although that will be hard to find in Hanoi)
All in all you get what you pay for, this place isn't expensive so don't expect much from it but a place to sleep, shower and eat breakfast before going out for the day. I would recommend Doungs restaurant which is just round the corner, lovely food and service, we went twice.
Easy going staff, good location, breakfast a la carte included was a plus!! However they suggested I book a private car with them to go back to AIRPORT as i did for arrival. But finally it was just a Taxi waiting oustide... nothing bad, no big difference on the final price (less than 2USD) but just surprising and not as comfortable.

We were there for only 12 hours. The hotel is good with a perfect location best the Hoan Kiem lake. Many places to eat near the hotel. It was good with a budget price.

저녁 때 물이 나오지 않았어요.... 비는 주룩주룩 내렸는데... 무슨 일인지...
그래서 밖에 나가서 용무 보고오고.. 샤워는 그냥 안하고...
싼 호텔이니까 따지지는 않았지만... 참...ㅠㅠ
그것만 빼면 좋았어요. 특히 아침이 되게 좋았네요 원하는 메뉴 실컷 먹을 수 있고.. 단품으로!!!
아참, 아침 먹는데에 날파리가 좀 있긴 하지만 어쩔 수 없겠죠 ㅠ

The hotel is nice and the rooms are clean. The staff doesn’t speak great English but they were able to answer any of my questions and book a bus ticket for me.

Great design, great comfort, very welcoming and helpful staff. Good central location, close to train station and close to the old town and central lake. A quiet shelter to rest in the middle of such a busy city, really recommend it !

I booked the suite as part of special weekend, and I arrived there and they told me they had given my room away to someone else. If you read the reviews on Google maps, this is a very common practice for this hotel. I only wish I'd read those reviews first instead of just the ones on Orbitz.
DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

It was our first time in Hanoi and we were excited to discover the country, and for that, we needed a good night in a good place. The personal of the hotel was very nice with us. I recommend!
To add, it’s a great location in the city.

호안끼엠 주변에 많은 소형 호텔중에 한 곳이다.
그런데 이 호텔은 다른 호텔과 조금 다른 방향으로 자리잡고 있다.
다른 호텔들이 살짝 골목길에 있는데 이 호텔은 조금 큰 길가.
일과시간에는 아주 혼란의 도가니다.
크게 상관할 일이 아닌지 모르겠다.
욕실문이 닫히지를 않는다....
방은 아주 작다......
리셉션은 불친절하다....이게 어느정도냐면 사람이 들고 나갈때
웃는 꼴을 못 보겠다.
체크아웃도 그 흔한 웃음 하나가 없다.
조식은 그야말로 쓰레기같은 음식인데 담아놓은 주스같이 생긴걸 한 모금 마시는데 토할뻔했다. 그 미지근함과 물을 많이 탄 맛이란.....
다른 음식도 마찬가지....
사실 난 이보다 싼 호텔에서 묶어본 적은 없다.
있다면 짐을 보관하고 샤워하기 위하여 묶은 곳이 있고, 나머지는 싸다고 해도
이것보다 1만원은 더 비쌌었다.
사실 이 곳도 늦은 밤에 들어와서 아침에 이동하기 위하여 묶은 곳인데 너무 최악이었었다.
이 지역에 다른 호텔들에서 1만원을 더 주고 2박을 했었는 데, 소음은 둘 다
같았었지만 그 이외에 점은 천당과 지옥 수준이었었다.
호안끼엠이 가까워서 좋은 호텔이고 나머지는 다른 호텔이 낫지 싶다.
소음은 보다 나은 곳이 있긴 하다.

Good location with very friendly and helpful staff. We only stayed one night so was perfect for that. If I was staying longer I probably would want something a little bigger. I’d pass on the buffet breakfast too. Not great.

Our room are very large, clean, sweets decor with petal rose flower. We have great buffet breakfast every morning wake up. The hotel located in Center of Old quarter close to Many restaurant, Coffee shops, very close to church & lake, we loved hotel location. Upon arrival, Mr. Hoang booked our Smart Package as Ha Long bay 2 days 1 night + Sapa 2 days 3 nights with special promotion for our group that package was super. we don't hesitate to recommending the Art classic hotel to everyone look the perfect boutique hotel with exceptional service .... book it ....
The Art Classic hotel is lovely hotel with great staffs, perfect location, nice decoration room. We're highly recommend this hotel and comeback on next time.

The Art Classic hotel & Spa is a beautiful hotel with great classic decor style. We have perfect time in their. We have booked Ha long bay 1 day on Wonderbay cruise by Mr. Hoang was great. We have large room and nice view. We will stay this hotel on next trip in Hanoi old quarter.

Our group booked 2 nights at The Art Classic & Spa and Upon arrival, our group booked a Smart Package Ha Long bay 2 days 1 night on V'spirit premium cruise + Sapa 2 days 1 night premium tour was very great value and excellent tour. The staffs was very amazing, very cute and professional, our rooms was very clean, large, nice decor. Our breakfast in morning was very fresh and delicious and hotel location was great too. We're ready love to Stayed at The Art Classic hotel & spa.
What I like the most is breakfast. You will see variety of choices that you can enjoy. Hotel staff are helpful. It is close to the famous places like St.Joseph church and also the restaurants.

Hôtel bien situé, on peut tout trouver à proximité. Situation centrale dans le quartier du vieux Hanoï.
Chambre confortable et proche.
Personnel serviable et souriant.

I’m surprised that this hotel has such good reviews on hotels.com, especially when it has such bad reviews on Trip Advisor and our experience is more in line with the Trip Advisor reviews. I booked two nights in the Art Classic Hotel for my friend and myself. When we arrived, we were informed that there was no room for us in the hotel and that we would have to spend one night in their sister hotel down the road and then move back to the Art Classic the next day. The sister hotel was in the midst of a loud construction project that went on until 12:30 a.m. The WiFi in the hotel wasn’t working, and they didn’t even give me drinking water until I asked for it. My friend was placed in a tiny, dirty room with peeling paint. The next morning at breakfast, we sat next to some travelers from Germany who had also booked a room in the Art Classic but were moved to the sister hotel. We were given a wildly improbable explanation for why there were no rooms for us, but the Trip Advisor reviews indicate that this happens all the time! When we were moved back to the Art Classic Hotel the next day, we found that it was a less attractive (though quieter) hotel with tiny rooms and hard, uncomfortable beds. We have had such good experiences in other hotels in Vietnam, but this one was a huge disappointment.
