Very good hotel excellent location and facilities definitely a gem

5.0 "This is what luxury should look like"
Mai House manages to be modern without feeling cold, and luxurious without gaudy excess.
The welcome is unique and very much appreciated. Always nice to be greeted with a cold beverage. But beyond that, a pair of tasty cream puffs awaited us in the bedroom. Also sweet and savory snacks. First a jar of dried hawthorn fruit(?) strips reminded me of my childhood. Anyone else remember Chinese Haw Flake candies? Second jar had dried shrimp, chili, and basil.
To top it off, complimentary minibar! And the only hotel in Vietnam I stayed at that had Coke Zero.
Bathroom way cool with nice rain shower. There was a brand new rubber bath mat still in the packaging. We didn't open it for fear it would be one-time use and thrown away. Hopefully not.
The grounds are spacious and well lit, perfect for sitting and reading over some tea. We had the pool to ourselves for the most part. Excellent poolside beverage service, though remember not to order any sodas. They're the same as the minibar ones. Of the nine hotels we stayed at this trip, Mai House had the best gym and yoga friendly layout.
For Saigon, it's up there in pricing and though not in District 1, plenty close enough to all attractions. Definitely in the top tier of hotels in the city.
Mai House is a beautifully designed and elegant hotel. It's still finding its feet, however, the attentiveness of the staff truly made our stay perfect.
The check-in process was smooth. Our room was spotless and maintained throughout our stay, it had all the amenities required (from the kitchen to the bathroom). The beds were extremely comfortable, we did appreciate the familiar brands of the products in the hotel (assuming the touches of the Australian GM), and it felt like home. The daily stocked fridge was very convenient (we were never short on bottled water!). Reception helped organize late check-out without an additional fee which was a bonus as we were flying back home later that night. My family also used the spa facilities; my mum loved the facial and massage package; the staff was well trained.
However, the only downfall was the available breakfast. For a 5-star hotel, we expected a buffet breakfast (in comparison to Liberty City point). We were informed that an a la carte was only available upon arrival which was a disappointment. We were advised by the restaurant staff the buffet breakfast was only available if there were more than 50+ customers – this is a shame, particularly because our family booked the room specifically to include breakfast. We would like to mention the following staff who made our stay comfortable: Housekeeping – Lam & Hoai, Bar – Thanh & Doorman – Khoa. I can’t wait to be back again to see how this hotel further develops next year.
Excellent hotel, good facilities very clean, 5 star standards

I requested and paid for a Premium Deluxe room. However my room was identical to that of my travel partners which was simply a Deluxe Room on the same floor (as I requested) That is my first only complaint... Other wise staff and property were outstanding. A special accolade to Mr. Kha who escorted me to my room! I would definitely stay here again. I also appreciated greatly that the attractive woman GM was on the scene and backing up her staff with grace. Exactly how a GM should do it!👍👍👍
Fantastic value for money. Staff aim to please. Very clean.

5.0 "Beautiful, elegant and comfortable hotel"
Everything was perfect. Excellent staff, great location, very comfortable.
The only thing to be aware of is that it is next to a school (‘Marie Curie’) and if your room is facing the school it will be loud early in the morning outside.
