I traveled with my family to Hanoi for 3 nights following a a New Year's holiday cruise in Ha Long Bay.
As a new hotel, La Sinfonia Del Rey could be forgiven for getting the odd niggle not quite right. however I believe they're already the best hotel in Hanoi, beating out the JW Marriott (where we also started this trip) and the ubiquitous La Siesta chain.
The hotel is perfectly located in the NE corner of Hoang Kiem Lake right across the entrance to the temple. Rooms are on the smaller side, but thankfully there was space for four in the Lakeside Terrace Suite they moved us into. Very high spec finish throughout, with Kohler baths and Acqua Parma toiletries (for those that care about such things). The spa service, even newer than the hotel, is still finding its feet but is a calming escape from the Hanoi streets.
The highlight was the service, which from first touch to last was exceptional. Two staff in particular stood out: CSM Tom (Vhong) and Nhung at front desk both provided five star service. They arranged our car transfers, tickets to Thanh Long Water Puppet Show, and even a packed breakfast for the flight out.
LSDR should rightfully be a five star property save for the lack of gym and pool. At current rates they're the best value stay in Hanoi and I would happily stay again with my family when we're back in Vietnam.

Even the seasoned traveller knows that sometimes, in the middle of so many reviews and opinions, you will get tired of searching and will have settle for a hotel that seems just good, realizing there is no escape from carefully chosen photos and the usual drivel of self serving descriptions made by management.
Making a choice in Hanoi epitomizes this saga, as there are literally hundreds of properties crying for attention. You just wish for the best and take the plunge.
Well, in the case of Sinfonia del Rey, I got very, very lucky.
The hotel is so new, modern and confortable that you wish it could be the definite benchmark for your future travelling. The location is so perfect that having done a good walking tour of the city, I wonder if there is a better spot for tourists that would rather be at the (close) fringe of the action and bustle of Hanoi without being dragged into the confusion. Probably not.
They have a very good restaurant and a first class spa, a great breakfast (with a view to the lake) and correct info on tours, and the staff took great pride in being beyond smiling courteous to me and the other guests I happened to chat with.
I left the city - an amazing city, by the way - with the sensation of having been lucky in finding Sinfonia del Rey. And no, this is not a fake sugary review.
Wonderful place! Best location on lake. Wierd coffee maker in room and 2 tv remotes was very confusing but then great coffee shops outside hotel and we did not go to Hanoi to watch tv!
Must use spa—amazing and very inexpensive.

12월 26일 03시에 도착하였습니다. 늦은 시간에도 리셉션 스탭은 반가운 목소리로 친절하게 맞아 주었고, 방 내부까지 안내 후 조식과 호텔 시설에 대하여 설명하였습니다. 호텔 방은 새 건물이라 매우 깨끗하였으며, 특히 침대가 푹신하여 꿀잠을 잤습니다. 샤워실의 수압도 좋았으며, 물이 예상외로 연수라 수질이 좋았으며, 뜨거운물 차가운 물 모두 훌륭했습니다. 첫날에는 바나나를 웰컴 서비스로 제공받았으며, 매일 저녁에는 호텔에서 직접 만들어 룸에 제공한 수제 쵸콜릿은 달콤했으며, 다음 날 날씨를 손으로 작성한 메모도 쵸코릿과 함께 룸서비로 받아 많은 도움이 되었습니다.
다음날 조식은 훌륭했습니다. 우선 식당에 도착하자마자 지정 좌석에 안내를 받았으며, 커피와 녹차를 먼저 제공받았습니다. 조식의 종류는 충분했으며, 특히 세프 특별메뉴는 정말 맛있었습니다. 종류는 International menu와 Vietanam menu로 다양하게 맛있었습니다. 반드시 특별메뉴를 드셔보시기 바랍니다. 모든 메뉴는 무료로 제공됩니다. 식사 중간에 매니저가 직접 다가와 간밤에 잘 잤는지 안부를 물어봐 주어 감동이었습니다. 그리고 오늘 일정과 주변지역의 방문할 곳, 교통편 등을 안내하여 좋았습니다. 호텔 직원분들 모두 매우 친절하였으며, 고객을 벼려하는 몸가짐과 목소리(특히 여성 매니저들의 목소리가 너무 감동적이었습니다.)가 많은 교육과 훈련을 통해 이뤄진 것으로 보였습니다.
호텔의 스파에서 마사지도 이용하였습니다. 물론 친절한 고객 대접을 받았습니다.
둘쨋날 개인적으로 예약한 하롱베이 1일 투어를 위해 호텔 로비에서 기다리고 있는데, 호텔 로비 담당자께서 직접 여행사에 전화해 언제 도착하는지 확인해 주시어 매우 감사했습니다. 그리고 로비에 앉아 있으면 수시로 물도 서빙해 주시고, 친절한 안내를 계속 받았습니다.
호텔의 위치는 주변에 맛집과 다양한 현지 쇼핑기회를 가질수 있는 장소였습니다. 물론 걸어서 중심지 관광을 하는 지역이라 더 좋았습니다.
특히 마지막 날은 02시 야간 비행기로 귀국할 예정이었는데, 호텔 매니저께서 주간에 일정을 보낸 후 호텔에 다시 들러 스파에서 무료 샤워를 하고 출국 준비할 수 있도록 안내해 주었습니다. 저녁에 샤워를 하고 나니 온몸의 피로가 풀려서 정말 감사했습니다. 또한 늦은 시간 공항셔틀서비스도 18달러라는 저렴한 금액으로 이용하게 안내받아 기쁘게 이용했습니다. 셔틀 기사님도 안전하게 운전하느라 세심하게 벼려하는 모습에 감동받았습니다.
라 신포니아 델 레이 호텔의 대표님과 로비, 셔틀기사님, 프런트데스크, 룸매니져, 식당매니저와 직원들 모두 온몸으로 친절이 베어 있었습니다. 베트남을 방문하면서 친절과 고객감동에 대해 깊이 느끼고 배운 여행이었습니다. 계속 번창하길 기원합니다.

The hotel is full of character, with beautiful detailing everywhere. The staff were extremely helpful when we arrived with my sick daughter. They made great effort to make her as comfortable as possible, including having a doctor on call if needed. Location is fantastic. Beautiful views from rooftop bar and restaurant.

リッチも良く旧市街へのアクセスもとても便利でした。比較的小さいホテルなので、スタッフ一人一人のサービスが行き届いていて大変親切にしていただき快適な滞在となりました。
●ホテルの方オススメリストをラインで共有してくれる。
●ウェルカムフルーツのランブータンが到着日に用意されていた。
●客室にはネスカフェマシーンが用意。

Location was amazing in the heart of old town. The street outside the hotel is shut down to traffic on Fridays and Saturdays which helps to keep the usual noise from the Hanoi hustle and bustle down. Staff was very attentive and the breakfast was excellent.

This is a wonderful property. Fantastic location, amazing staff, great, clean room. Couldn’t ask for more!
깔끔하고 편안한 것도 좋았지만 무엇보다 스탭들의 진심어린 따뜻함과 친절함이 정말 기억에 많이 남습니다^^
만약 하노이를 다시 가게 된다면 고민없이 또 선택할 것입니다!

Good location. Lots of shops and eating places within walking distance.
Unfortunately very noisy and difficult sleeping in any front facing rooms due to noise from the streets. We had problems with the television in our room and had to change rooms due to noise. Rooms are very small.
On the plus side the staff are very helpful and friendly and willing to recify problems.

Very good experience in this hotel. Hotel staff are very enthusiastic and always provide us useful and informative recommendations. We enjoyed the stay in hotel and Hanoi. Although my wife had encountered some bad moment during the trip, you can feel the staff had tried their best to help my wife and mood her up. I am very pleased to know all of the staff there. Especially thank you to front desk Trang and guest relation agent Huang and restaurant staff Hom( I am not sure I have typed the correct name or not)
La television no tiene canales, solamente asiáticas. y la Limpieza es mala. Encontramos cosas de otra gente en la habitación.

Service upon arrival was great. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Hotel was always clean and tidy and well kept. Location was also great and it was so easy for us to get around Old Quarter and to most of the key sights around the area (on foot, up to 30-40 mins walk). Provided great food recommendations as well.

The service is excellent, staff are very friendly and accommodating. the place is very cozy, the restaurant have very good food. I have already recommended this place to friends travelling in Vietnam. The only downside is the rooms at the basement, no windows. So if you are going to book request the upper level rooms.

Brand new building with senior level staff. Room was clean, stylish and a very comfortable bed with quality linens. AC was appreciated and room service was great. TV offered many viewing options.
Reception were welcoming and helpful with tours and general directions. Breakfast was as good as any 5-star hotel and the rooftop bar is one of the prettiest in the city.

Hotel "limousine" service from the airport was nothing but, with an ordinary taxi and a driver that was busy looking at his phone/texting when driving in Hanoi's traffic. We made the hotel aware of it as it was unsafe and created the wrong first impression and they were very apologetic and provided complimentary limo back to the airport. Hanoi's Old Town/French quarter is noisy and we were expecting it, but there was loud singing/music because the hotel is near a stage area - triple glazing and better sound-proofing but also city-wide noise abatement measures are required. I know that the hotel are aware of this and are doing something about it. The hotel team were very friendly, knowledgeable and made everything to make our stay a pleasant one. Spa was good too.
