It was conveniently located in the middle of Old Quarter. But the celanliness and the facilities were a little less than what I have expected. The staff was amazing and helped with everything we needed. Especially Sam and Tom attended to all our questions and requests together with the handy man.
Nice, clean basic hotel in the old town. Great location with lots to do and see around. Staff is helpful. Breakfast across the street will get you started for morning sightseeing.

Аналогичный по качеству отель в этом же районе, можно забронировать в 3 раза дешевле. Фотографии в отзывах пятилетней давности. Все очень старое. Формально, озеро из окна видео (через крыши). Больше, через этот ресурс бронировать не буду.

Nice place to stay, and nice staff. The restaurant across the street has a nice balkony to start your day with a buffet for free. The rooms are clean.
Mycket centralt, perfekt service, nära old town, tyst gata utanför men desto mer ljud på gatorna bredvid. Stor frukost buffé med tex omelett och med utsikt över gatan och se allt folk. Rent och ordning och reda. Personalen pratade bra engelska och var mycket hjälpsamma. Kan verkligen rekommenderas.

first they will offer you to go to the hotel across the street... or the room will be so small and not like you would expect from pictures. service was also supposing arrogant, after we ask where is the bus station to the airport; the answer was we only help with taxi or private car.
Location is perfect at a small quiet street near old town and the par; the lobby has promising character and charm, but perhaps we were not so lucky with the room and service. good breakfast at the cafe across the street.
I have to say that my rating is not 100% objective because I have not stayed at the hotel. I booked and paid for a room 4 month in advance, but upon arrival, once receptionist confirmed with me that I intend to stay only one night and don't plan to come back after Ha Long Bay cruise, she informed me that the room they had reserved for us had some plumbing problems and they don't have any other rooms available. To rectify the problem they offered us to stay in Old Quarter Family Hotel which is a remodeled hostel and clearly lacks the charm of this hotel. Their selling point was that they are moving us to a bigger room that can accommodate 4 people (it was two of us) which is more expensive, but useless for us. I didn't want to waste my time searching for a new hotel and accepted the offer knowing that I will be moving to a worse hotel. My expectations proved to be correct and I was not happy with the new hotel (see my review of that property).
I could be wrong, but it seems to me they don't like to offer rooms for one night in a high season and use their other (cheaper) property to move some people.
Leider nicht wie erwartet inkl Balkon und grosszügigem Zimmer.
Das Fenster war zum Innenhof gerichtet ohne Aussicht.
Ansonsten tiptop für eine Nacht mit nicht viel Komfort.
Der Fluchtweg / Treppenhaus war mit Möbeln vollgestellt, somit musste immer der Lift genommen werden.
Frühstück OK.

2.0 "Close lake and to the town "
Be careful about this hotel.
1. We booked the Artisan Lakeview Hotel, once arrived they moved us into their cheaper hotel.
2. I complained about the room and about them moving us to their cheaper hotel and all I got back was lies.
Superior room and standard are the same. Plus the Boutique hotel is the as to the Artisan Lakeview Hotel.
3. Breakfast was OK. But we saw a RAT near to the ceiling fan.
4. If you don't book your tours and any transportation with this hotel, then you will be on their hit list. Because on the last day, our suitcases got broken in to.
Oh. Our bedroom view was of a brick wall and a fire escape. Not outside light what so ever.
Booked and payed to stay in the Artisan Lakeview Hotel. When arrived and checked in, the lady at the reception gave us a room at their cheaper hotel which was across the road "Artisan Boutique hotel" That evening I asked one of their staff who was wearing a light blue shirt. We paid for a superior room and not standard. His reply was "superior and standard are the same.
To get your breakfast, you will have to go next door but one. The breakfast is OK, but we saw a RAT up on the ceiling and near to the light. The lady Laura said sorry, the next morning at breakfast we saw the rat again. Once again Laura said sorry and the problem will be resolved.
On day 2 of our arrival we was asked if we would like to change room and look at the Artisan Lakeview. So we did. The lady at reception said "if you change you would have to move your suitcases. The room was OK, but it stunk of smoke and there was wardrobe. But there was a balcony with sliding doors. The view was looking out at some geto and not looking out to the lake. On departure and after breakfast. I noticed that my suitcase was tampered. When I arrived at the airport. I said to my wife. I think someone tried to break in to my suitcase. She said yes, because my suitcase lock is broken.
Would I stay here again. Well you should no the answer. If you want to use the hotel service and pay more for taxis or excursion, then the hotel staff should look after you with a big fake smile.
The room was clean. Breakfast was good. Walking distance to stores and just a stone's throw away from hoan kiem lake. It is located at the quiet side of old quarter.
