Excellent location. Small bt coolish swimming pool. GReat brunch style breakfast until 10am. Check-in was a nightmare - 5 rooms on 5 seperate floors with only 1 key per room. Made for a more difficult stay than needed. A little city noise in the evening. corner suite felt like it swayed a little. Great air con.

Lovely hotel, very well air conditioned even in public areas which seems unusual in Vietnam. Rooms are tiny though.

Nydeligt hotel i hjertet af det gamle kvarter. Lækkert med pool på taget, hvor der er udsigt over hele byen. Virkelig søde medarbejdere - god service. Dejlige værelser og god morgenmad. Tak :-)

Not the best place to stay in the Old Quarter... Good location, good bed and a great air conditioner in the room but there are far better hotels in the area for the same money ot even less (Hanoi E Central is amazing).

Very convenient for shopping and food avail everywhere.
Hotel is very clean. Basically I would give them 95% excellent except the WiFi sucks in the room. Only avail in lobby and breakfast area.

This hotel blew us away - it's in the PERFECT location. You're down the street from beer street. Steps away from all the shops and vendors and food you could imagine. Short walk to the main traffic circle and the lake, and from Friday to Sunday you're a block over to the start of the night maket. The staff were friendly and spoke great English and it was easy to book a car to and from the airport. We were going to stay at another hotel for our second stay before heading back to Canada, but The Rex was too good not to return. The rooms are a little small, but you're just there to sleep anyways, and the roof top pool was a treat when you wanted to get a quick break before heading back to the street to explore! Tip - wake up early, walk around the Lake before 7am and experience some local Tai Chi and Dance lessons and get some Pho for breakfast. We miss it already!
Location is great. Close to Night market and the Lake.
But unfortunately we don’t know that Classic double room is a room without window. We would expect Expedia website to show this info.

The Rex Hanoi was in a GREAT location and very pretty. Terrific breakfast and a beautiful rooftop pool area. Great amenities, comfortable bed, etc. The only issue I had was that I could hear a lot of noise (and I was on the tenth floor) from the other rooms and people talking and my room was a little stinky. I didn't complain about either of these issues because they were minor. If I had been staying longer than two days, I probably would've checked other rooms to see if they smelled fresher.
Good location. Great roof top space but pool is small. Our room was comfortable and clean but didn’t have a window.

Hotel was clean nice comfortable. Internet service was very poor, inform to management but outcome was disappointing. Breakfast was ok but not spectacular. Great location close to Hoan Kiem lake and Beer street. Staff was helpful, help me to get taxi to airport.

The level of English at reception wasn’t great
The staircase up to the rooftop bar and pool was more than dangerous
The “private car” was supposed to take 10 min to arrive at the hotel from booking it but took 35.

Très bien localisé dans le vieux quartier de Hanoï. Pour le prix demande super rapport qualité prix, bon service. Je n’ai pas mangé à cet endroit (parce que je partais de bonne heure pour aéroport)

We booked a room for x3, as our 9 year old son was travelling with us, but when we arrived, weary from a long journey, they disputed the room booking and we are squashed into a small double room. All very disppointing. Pool small. Would not recommend.

All good except room service. Takes more than 6 hours upon request to clean up the room. Have to escalate the matter to Mr. Lee before the room service staff came to clean the room.

Would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast is served on the 12th floor with a lovely view - actually felt a little romantic! The location is central, but quiet - once you step inside you won’t hear the noise from the chaotic streets! Really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Location, Cleanliness, breafast staff were very polite and assertive, upgrade.
Cons: Not enough considerationfor guests - Reasons include: 1. Gym was not available - wish this was informed to me upon booking as it was an important factor for me. 2. Reception number was not written anywhere - it should have been at least written on the card key cover upon checkin. I had to look around everywhere and finally go down to the ground floor reception to request service... 3. Shower was confusing to use - if this is a known problem, it should have simply been expalined to me by luggage boy at the start. 4. Toilet. - I had to twist right back to access toiltet paper.... Paper roller should be moved to a user friendly space. 5. Fan above toilet rattled and was noisy at times. 6. Cleaning staff walked in my room when i was bathing, despite the fact I had “dont disturb” on the door....
In summary, no major issues, but all these small points made me feel it certainly was not a 4 or 5 star. Hope this feedback can help..... I appreciated the upgrade though - thank you.
Good location, it is in the old quarter, near to the sightseeing area (2 mins walk to the lake), you can find anything you need near the hotel.
The hotel is new, it looks grand.
The room is clean and comfortable.
The only thing to improve is the shower, the water temperature and the flow is not stable.

This is a fantastic hotel! The location is great, service is awesome and the breakfast has a lot of options. Everything feels clean and new. I would highly recommend this place. We liked it so much we left another hotel to go back.

Great place to stay with everything you need just outside your door. Clean comfortable rooms and the best breakfast buffet with lots of options. The staff are helpful and got our room ready early as we are traveling with a baby.

My family of 3 stayed at executive room at 8th floor for 2 nights. The hotel is very new and nice. The location is superb. A few things to improve on- wifi is really bad ( my hubby was advised by reception to walk to lift lobby to get connected first), the water pressure in the bathroom is very low so need to take much longer time to shower, breakfast menu needs variety, more tasty, much less salty soup and change the menu.
There’s a pool at the rooftop. Hotel is very new, clean and huge. The location is superb as it’s near town and away from the noise! Very pleased with the service as staffs are very helpful as friendly.

Excellent service and great managerial team. Being claustrophobic, the manager kindly offered me an external room without any extra. I am grateful to him/Her. Excellent catering service during breakfasts. I sincerely recommend it to anyone .

Really surprised by this hotel, it's beautifully located, one min to beer street and 1min to the lake. Rooms are brand new. Hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a city view room
The street infront of the hotel is easy to walk and not very crowded. The room was brand new and everything was kept clean and nice. We actually felt that we could have booked all the 3 nights at this hotel if we would have known how good it is. Definitely recommended
