Our party enjoyed our stay at the Rex Hotel. Our accommodations were comfortable and of high standard.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The service was outstanding. Everyone working at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. Always a pleasure to deal with them, ask a questions, etc. I especially enjoyed the Vietnam heritage and water puppet show. Really outstanding.

Love the location.
The room was very big and the bed was comfy.
However the staff at breakfast are super junior and little service (the tea/coffee staff). The manager was very professional though. Bit hire better staff...

My room was spacious and clean. I enjoyed the expansive breakfast buffet, gym and pool facilities. The lobby is really busy but the floors with rooms are quiet. A great central location within walking distance for my meetings, shopping and dining. Nearby Starbucks and convenience stores appreciated. The wifi was great— I was able to stream Netflix and use Skype without issue. I would definitely stay here again. The only improvement would be to provide irons in the room. The iron they lent me didn’t heat up sufficiently so a better quality iron would be appreciated.

Right in centre of Ho Ch Minh, in fact next to the main statue of Ho Chi Minh.

It is really in the city center, close to everywhere. You can walk and discover main street and more. Pool, gym etc... Clean .Friendly staff

To rate the Rex Hotel as a five-star hotel is in absurdity. This is a government hotel and smells of smoke throughout the lobby in public areas. It is old and run down. To call this a top rated hotel makes no sense at all. Just four blocks down the road is the Reverie. On a 1 to 5 Star rating it is most definitely 5 and world class like few others. Back to the Rex, there are a few English-speaking personnel and experience could not of been more disappointing.
Great... service was awesome.. just wished the gym was open 24 hours instead.. most of us foreigners are wide awake in the middle of the night:))

Perfect location, wonderful staff, huge rooms, evening puppet shows are the major plusses. On the downside, the rooms are not double glazed on traffic noise can be a bother especially in the morning.

Nice place when the rates are low. Rooftop bar is fun , but expect absolutely ridiculous food and drink prices ...then add another 20% to the menu price with VAT and other surprise charges tacked on. Very pleasant and helpful staff

I found it frustrating not to be able to use any elevator. On more then one occasion I entered an elevator only to find out I could not use it. Guests should not have search for their specific elevator to get through the hotel. VERY FRUSTRATING

Great hotel staff support for everything. But Especially Văn in tourism. When my new SIM card didn’t work on the Grab app, she called in a telephone mobile rep to look at my phone to make it work!! So helpful because taxis were a necessity for business trips.

BED BUGS!!
I ordered the cheapest room on expeda which turned out to be closet sized. Not the same room as the photo. It was in the old side of the building and smelled moldy. I upgraded the room for 20 USD a night and was moved to the new tower which is still dated (including the furniture) but the moldy smell was gone. The first night I found I had bed bugs. They would not change my room but said I would not have to pay for the upgrade snd changed the bedding. I had bites again the 2nd night. At checkout they made me pay for the upgrade. I would never stay here again! 2.5 star at best, government run hotel.
This hotel is located in the center of the city, so there are many tourist attractions and restaurants around it.
When using check-in, check-out, and convenience facilities, it was very convenient because of the consideration of the hotel staff.
The rooms are kept clean, and above all, I was deeply impressed by the staff's kind and prompt response.
