Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and I was upgraded to a twin room, which was bigger and suited me because I was just travelling for work. Bed was comfy, and shower was good, as was the price at the time
Location is great for the front beach, but a bit further away for shops and back beach (well worth going there!), but, they also did motorbike hire, so with that, the whole place is opened up. If you haven't ridden in SE Asia before, the city highways can be a bit hectic even there, but for a few days' jaunt around the beach/peninsula (even to warm up to riding), I think most people would be fine
Also, try the fast ferry from the back beach back to Ho Chi Minh! Much more relaxed than the VIP taxi, about same price, and takes the same time. Only downside is you have to take a taxi over to that side, and if you do, don't be fooled into being drawn to their eating place. It was fine, but expensive, and there are enough places around the terminals. The taxi driver I had was a bit naughty with this. Sometimes the ferry leaves from the cable car terminal, sometimes from the ticket office, but the ticket seller will let you know, and the driver
The room (cheap option) was very small, if you are two people planning on using this hotel I would suggest getting one of the bigger rooms. There were small bugs crawling along the walls at the bed, in the bathroom and at the TV. (Kind of looked like smaller ants). Very noisy corridor.
But! It was cheap, staff was helpful although not fluent in english, close to the beach and easy access to grab or circle k just around the corner.
It's a good option if you plan on just using the room for storage and maybe sleep a night or two.
We absolutely LOVED this hotel! It was just a few minutes walk from the beach, with many restaurants and stores on the same street. The hotel was very modern and included free toiletries, plus their daily maid service did a great job. This was a wonderful value for the price, we would highly recommend Praha!
