Double beds are too small. Have to pay $25 more for a third person even though bed does not fit two persons.

very mediocre hotel but excessively over priced.
noisy with the construction within the hotel which was not publicized; we were told just after the check-in. what can we do at this stage??
staffs are OK with little artificial smiles.
I would not stay here again.

Conveniently located for a district 1 stay. The guest rooms are currently under renovation which means it gets very noisy from 9am onwards weekdays and 10am onwards weekends. As long are you’re not planning to sleep in I would still warmly recommend it. Staff is absolutely great.

I was up sold to a better room which included free breakfast in the morning and free drinks from 5:30 to 7:30pm
Once I arrived at 5:30 for drink the only beer offered was 333 in a can. I expected to have the same selection of beer as the lounge on the ground floor. I spoke with the manager on duty about this issue but they still didn’t understand. I would have never upgraded my room if I knew the drinks were of lower quality then offered in the lounge.
The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and plenty of restaurants. Most of our trip we ate at the local surrounding restaurants. The staff is one of the best parts of this hotel. They are very helpful with anything we needed.

This hotel is centrally located in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is located next to Ben Thanh Market and many commercial centers, entertainment centers. Hotel staff are very professional and friendly. New World Saigon is a 5 star hotel but the most reasonable price here. I like the color of the interior in the room, very friendly and luxurious.

Overall I have had a great stay at New World Saigon. Good service and friendly staff from door service, to check-in at the reception, business centre and room service.
The room was large and comfortable. The only downside was the air-conditioning was way too cold even after turning it up. Not sure if is controlled centrally.

Hotel is under renovation.starts at 9 am to 6pm so if you are planning to stay there and chill inside your hotel room during office hrs good luck to u.ear plugs were thoughtfully given to u by the hotel.and the hotel is very strict on smokers.so smoke in designated areas.breakfast was 3/5 not to bad or good.hotel stuffs are friendly and helpful.

3.0 "Not as expected for a 5 stars, fell way short!"
They initially gave us the room on 3rd floor before renovations done to the room. I was shocked this was rated a 5 stars hotel, may be in 1980 but certainly not in 2019. All electrical were 20+ old tech, couldn’t charge phone, laptop, and hair dryer. We need a special adapter for each wall plug. TV and room decor was antiquated and outdated. After we complained, they transferred us to a newly renovated room which was much better but still short of a 5 stars level. However we were still hounded by heavy constant renovations noise.
2.0 "Noisy renovations and poor service standards"
I have stayed here a few times but I find that the service standards have deteriorated and the noise levels from renovation has worsened. Definitely not worth the price we paid. On check in, I was given a room on fifth floor which was just next to the floor being renovated. The drilling was extremely loud and only when complained, they moved me to the 14th floor . I saw similar guests being moved. I would think the management should do this the first time round: put guests further away from the renovation and not wait for them to complain. As for breakfast, I was constantly hounded and even barred from entering the restaurant just because my room rate did not included breakfast. I am more than happy to pay for it separately as I was given a discount being an Expedia gold member. I was also given a high tea voucher, but only one even though my room was registered for two pax and my colleagues had two vouchers automatically. Hence execution at the front desk is not consistent. Finally, the Nespresso machine was faulty and the capsules wouldn’t fit properly and so we were not able to get it working. Even though I complained , it took two calls to have it changed and they charged me for the capsules ! Gain I had to point it out and complained before they removed it from the bill. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone until they get their act together and complete their renovations.
호텔규모는 주변에서 단연 최고의 규모를 자랑합니다. 벤탄시장, 사이공스퀘어등 도보로 이동이 가능하여 지리적 위치가 상당히 좋습니다. 다만 오래된 호텔이라 시설면에서 부족한면이 있고 조식이 최고라고 생각되진 않습니다. 그러나 수영장은 주변에서 최고로 좋다고 생각합니다

Renovation works is supposed to start at or after 9am but I hear knocking as early as 7.30am. We had 5 rooms altogether and all 5 or us experience that. This is a real bad experience.
Service standard needs improvement. Many times, staff do not understand what I request for and do not bother clarifying which can be annoying. Also, although there are many staff stationed at the lobby, sadly I cannot feel the warm and friendly reception. Very often, I can see them talking to one another instead of anticipating guests' needs. One morning, I observed there were 6 restaurant staff and few guest in the restaurant but I had to wave 3 times before anyone could see me and take my order.
New World is a reputable hotel and I hope the hotel can improve or very soon, it may not be worth staying here anymore.
