Really nice hotel. Stuff was super nice. Common areas very good. Breakfast good and from 2-5 pm they give free snaks (coffee, cakes, fruits). The only problem was my room had no window .

Great location. Not too busy and walking distance to many places: walking street close to the river, war museum, market, street food market, Palace. Very safe to walk at night.
The facilities a very nice. The pool at the top is great. Amazing views. They have free afternoon tea which is an extra, and I haven't seen it in any other hotel. I recommend staying here.
We got a room with no window, which makes it too dark. Better if you can get a room with window.
The food was good that’s about it. Another thing that I thought was odd they didn’t have washcloths

Felles områdene på taket var fantastiske. En ønsker alltid at svømmebassenget skulle vært større, men det fungerte greit.
Grei løsning med bar her. Rommet var ok. Deilige håndklær. Forferdelig å bo i 3 etg. da det var altfor mye støy fra gatenivå. Dette påvirket søvnen. Ellers veldig lytt fra gang og naborom.

5.0 "CLOSE TO EVERYTHING "
Very clean tidy hotel. Went with my two adult daughters. Rooms are compact, but you are out most of the day, so it is just to sleep, and tidy oneself up in. Managed really well considering three women were in close quarters together.
Staff are friendly, courteous and knowleable about activites and other things we wanted to do.
Right in the centre, so lots of things to do
Would stay there again

1.0 "DO NOT GO TO AU LAC HOTEL!"
The service was horrible and the room was nothing like the picture.
Not recommended if you are a light sleeper.
First off, we had a late flight in to Ho Chi Minh and didn’t check in till almost 1am. The staff was friendly and gave us no issues whatsoever with the late check in. We only received one room key which was a bummer as the room’s power and AC required a key to be left In the slot. That meant when we left for the day we came back to a pretty warm room. The facilities were actually really nice and the staff was kind.
Pros:
Pool and bar with an amazing view.
Friendly staff
Centralized location.
Free breakfast!
Cons:
Thin walls
Drinks at the bar were ok
One room key (which if I asked, I’m sure they may have given me another one. Just mentioning so that you ask for the second if you fall in my predicament)
All in all, I really did like the hotel but probably wouldn’t stay here again as I had a really hard time sleeping. Ho Chi Minh city is noisy and busy all night long with cars, bikes and horns. From the room you here all of it and even the neighboring room sliding chairs around. If the acoustics of the room were addressed I’d stay there again. But until then, I need my sleep. Hope this helps.
We arrived, the three of us and were placed in a very small room with an open bathroom and toilet. We asked if there was a bigger room and were shown the suite across the hall. We tried to negotiate a deal but were told we would have to pay an extra 10USD a night. We decided to do it. The room was quite dusty and we were staying three nights and the room was only cleaned on one of the days we stayed. We had to keep asking for towels as they only gave us enough for two each time. It was our friends birthday and I tried to order a bottle of Champagne (as on the menu) at the bar and was told there weren't any. This is quite a swanky looking hotel so we were surprised that the rooftop bar (and the only bar in the hotel) didn't have any. I was then offered all of the dusty bottles from the back bar - red wine, white wine. I decided to go and ask the manager if they could get us a bottle of Taittinger as on the menu. I was told of course and someone went out to find one. I had offered to do this myself as there was a wine shop around the corner. A long story short, I was eventually given a bottle of $4 Brut but still charged $35 odd for it as per the Champagne on the menu. It was such a palaver getting the bottle in the end I couldn't be bothered to complain. On check out they tried to charge for bathrobes that were missing from the room when we never had any in the first place. It is a beautiful hotel, but some work to do on the service and management side. I would stay again.
Really nice hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast. Rooms aren't the largest, some unusual bathroom designs. Lovely rooftop bar and pool with good views of Saigon. Only negative was the noise - air conditioning, thin walls and outside traffic noise.

My stay at the Au Lac Legend Hotel was a thoroughly pleasant and enjoyable experience. Upon arrival, we were instantly greeted with service by the hotel staff who allowed us to check in early without issues. The food served during the buffet breakfasts was outstanding, there is a wide amount of variety and I was able to maintain a healthy balanced diet. Because I ate so much food, I certainly did not need to eat a substantial lunch!
From the hotel, you can easily access the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dam Cathedral, Central Post Office, Ben Thanh Market and many others tourist hotspots. If you go on tours to places like the Cu Chi Tunnels, the tour operators are also willing to pick you up from the hotel.
Another feature that I particularly liked was the volume of staff available to help you with queries, they are all very kind and enthusiastic with regards to maximising your hotel experience and this really impressed me.
Overall, the Au Lac Legend Hotel is worthy of a 5* rating. I would strongly recommend visitors to stay with this establishment and I really believe that your time in Vietnam will be a truly rewarding experience if you choose to do so.
Even said breakfast start, their opening was delayed

1.0 "WORST PLACE"
First of all, mold in the shower and hair in the shower. I was about to step into the shower and saw short and also curly hairs.. I immediately turned off the water and took photos. Second, the NOISE, not from the outside traffic, but literally from the thin walls. I could hear water dripping through pipes every time some in the vicinity was taking a shower or flushing the toilet, my neighbors' door directly hitting my wall, people talking in the hallway and worst of all a very loud motored generator directly outside by the head of my bed. I had to get up at 5am to go catch a flight and was turning in early, but was woken up by the above listed noises at 11:30pm and again between 1~2am. The motor kept running on and off through out the night. I also got flea bites that night. From reading another review, the customer has had the same experience. When I was checking out, there was a couple that I met in the elevator who complained to me that they are late to catch their train, because they requested for a morning-call and didn't receive one. This place is NOT a 4-star hotel. Location wasn't even that great. After my stay, an agent from Hotels.com contacted them with my concerns and requested for a refund. They disapproved and refused to take responsibility. Unacceptable way to run a hospitality business, very disappointed.
3.0 "Medelmåttigt hotell - ej 4stjärnigt i min bok"
Litet rum. Inga fönster men det visste vi när vi bokade. Helt ok! AC:n kanon. Sängarna helt ok! Frukost dålig tyvärr men mysigt hotell m mysig pool och bar högst upp. Kackerlacka i badrummet. Inte fräscht. Vi förväntade oss mer för ett 4-stjärnigt hotell.
