Second time in this hotel, totally recommend it. Super friendly staff, very flexible, both of the rooms we had had windows and were quiet. Also, great breakfast.

3.0 "Value for money but bathroom & room need upgrade "
Plus point- Hotel has friendly staff and is located at a convenient street just footsteps away from all great street eats. Also came with free breakfast for us, consisting of good selection of local fruits and simple Vietnamese buffet food. We got a family suite which is huge with two separate rooms and one shared bathroom. The negatives are - This Hotel and it’s rooms need a major refurbishment because the bathroom’s water heater doesn’t work properly with a water pump that doesn’t work properly, and heater that doesn’t heat up water sufficiently that even half way through a very quick shower the water starts to turn into room temp which makes it freezing cold in winter. Bathroom also has a really terrible stinky smell of water not being drained properly that can wait through the whole room. One night as we were about to go to bed at midnight, we saw a huge, old cockroach that was crawling through our ceiling that we had to kill & remove ourselves :(
Everything was great! The staff is so friendly and knows you as a guest, felt really personal. Rooms are great too, spacious and comfy bed.

The hotel staff were very helpful with our requests.They provided welcoming when we arrived and checked in very quickly.Our rooms had goodsize with balcony and clean .We love their buffet breakfast for starting a new day.They booked for us 2 days Ha Long bay trip,was great.Many thanks to hotel staff ,specially Anna!

1.0 " Not 3.5 star hotel"
This hotel is run down and not definitely 3.5 star, which is quite evident after moving in there immediately from a 3 star hotel in Halong.
It is more like a 1 star or so.
It is worsened by the numerous repairs needed during the stay. Our bathroom door did not close and needed fixing, no kettle, bedside lamp not working etc.
When we were at the reception at times for short periods, almost always there was somebody complaining about room repairs being needed.
Also tourist manager lady at front desk is quite rude to us and Also shouting at other staff when we arrived first.
Overall not a good experience, but did not spoil the holiday as we were mostly out until night.
Clean and very pleasantly furnished rooms, great friendly staff, great buffet breakfast. Couldn't ask for better.

The service was amazing! The hotel itself is in the Old Quarter . My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Restaurant, with a better than expected buffet for breakfast. we highly recommend.
Il manque de fenêtre! ça gâche quelque peu le séjour d'entrer dans une pièce complètement clause,d'autre part on entend la musique techno du voisin!

We had a lovely stay in the hotel .Hotel staff are very friendly and they remember all of us. Hotel are lovely especially breakfast, lots of variety ! Street food buffet are amazing . All the tours arranged of Recommended by the hotel are great tour too! Good value!

I am usually a generous reviewer but not today. The hotel's location was good, the bed was fine, the shower was hot and breakfast was generous. However, the hotel is generally run down: the reception area's once-red furniture is quite black, the linen had holes in it, there were small insects crawling on the breakfast table and the tub was not caulked so a large puddle accumulated on the bathroom floor. When we checked in to our "deluxe double" room they took us to a tiny, smelly windowless room and only after we objected did they switch us to a slightly less awful room. We had to complain a second time until we were finally given what we had paid for. Helios Legend is definitely NOT a three star property.
Excellent hotel for money paid compared to the previous hotel stayed in same location. Excellent breakfast.
Very helpful staff, we spent 1 one and came back after a 1 day' s cruise and they upgrade us to a superior room which was very nice. We appreciate very much the hospitaly and details from all of them.
Great location in the old quarter less than 10 minutes walking distance from the lake.

창 없는방은 환기가 안되서 퀘퀘한 냄새와 습기로 개인적으로 비추

Das Hotel war prima für uns! Anna hat und wunderbare und relativ günstige Touren nach Sapa und Halong Bay organisiert, die alle perfekt geklappt haben. Auch konnten wir noch in einem Zimmer duschen vor dem Nachtzug. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist sehr praktisch. Abzug gibt es bei der Sauberkeit und bei den relativ lauten, ringhörigen Zimmern. Wlan funktioniert sehr gut.

Nice stay! Staff is very nice. Highly recommend . Great location in the old town near local eateries. Comfortable firm bed with all necessary amenities. Staff are super hospitable and personable. Breakfast is also substantial, with a small buffet and many alacarte options.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel, it was in a great spot and the staff were all so very friendly and would do anything to help. However, I do feel that it's not the most organized of hotels. We arrived in Hanoi in the early hours and had paid for, in essence, the day before to ensure when we got in we could crash after an 11 hour flight. Upon arriving, we were advised the room wasn't ready so we could both sleep in alternate rooms, until the room was made up. Whilst we did this one if the staff walked in to my friend's room and obviously weren't aware of what had been agreed!
Once the room was made up things were fine. Room was a good size (room number 207), though the TV had no sound and the tap was really noisy when used. I would stay here again.
We thought we were getting a bargain.... boy were we wrong. Pretty sure most of the reviews for this hotel are real as there is no way anyone would be happy staying here. the night club a few doors down will keep you up ( earplugs won’t help - I tried) The rooms look nothing like the photos displayed. It’s almost like they have renovated a few for pictures. So what you see is not what you get which is a real shame because the staff are super friendly and the location is great.

Great place with great location. It may have been just the one night I stayed there and not necissarily a reoccurring nuisance but the bass from music not held at the hotel was very loud with strong vibrations for a duration into the night. I don’t mind music while I sleep so I had no problems.

הגענו מאוחר בערב למלון לאחר יום נסיעות ארוך, ולאחר שההזמנה שלנו אושרה. הזמנו את המלון הזה בשל מיקומו המרכזי ברובע העתיק. ומראש הזמנו את החדר הבסיסי שלהם ללילה אחד. עם הגעתנו נאמר לנו שנעשתה טעות והעבירו אותנו למלון אחר. מסתבר שהמלון אליו הועברנו בשעה עשר בלילה ממוקם מחוץ לעיר העתיקה, ואפילו לא מצאנו משהו לאכול בקרבתו- כל הרחובות היו חשוכים. דיברתי שוב עם המלון המקורי וביקשתי שיחליפו לנו מלון כי הבזמנה אצלם התבססה על המיקום המרכזי שלו. ואז הם אמרו לנו שיש להם חדר אחד יותר גדול ממה שהזמנו במקור. אבל- מתחתיו ממוקם מועדון לילה שפעיל עד 1:30 ויוצר רעש. מכיון שכבר היה חצות הסכמנו והם שלחו לנו מונית חזרה למלון. אכן קיבלנו מעין דירה קטנה של 3 חדרי שינה, בקומה 5, והרעש שנשמע מהמועדון בקומת הקרקע היה כאילו אתה נמצא במועדון. זה באמת הסתיים לאחר שעה וחצי. אבל- מה שלא נאמר לנו ולא יכולנו לראות בלילה זה שיש מסילת רכבת מתחת למלון. ובחמש וחצי לפנות בוקר התעוררנו לקול שאון רכבת וצפירות חזקות. כך גם בשש וחצי.
בנוסף חדר האמבטיה ללא שום מתליםאפילו לא למגבות, ממש בסיסי. ארוחת הבוקר בסדר.
הצוות בסך הכל היה אדיב והבין את הבעיה. רק לאחר התערבות המנהלת פיצו אותנו בהסעה לשדה התעופה, ומאוד התנצלו.
חייבת לציין את אכזבתי מהוטלס דוט קום שגם לאחר שהתקשרתי אליהם בלילה לא עזרו בכלל.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. The first room we were checked into was not very well maintained. The balcony door could not be locked which was ironic because there was a sign on the door stating to be sure to lock all doors. To the hotels credit, when they couldn't get the door locked for us they did move us to their "silver room" which was nicer, except it must be directly above a nightclub so there was thumping bass until early in the morning. So bonus points to the staff for doing what they could, but I would avoid staying here.
새벽2시 넘어서 까지 클럽 진동으로 잠을 못잠.
대형 바퀴벌레 2회 출현. 방청소 안해줌. 수건 세탁상태 엉망. 모든게 낡고 지저분함. 밤에 근무하는 남직원 불친절.절대로 다시는 묵지않을 겁니다.

Was a decent hotel, room could do with a paint it was a 10 minute walk from lake and 10 minutes from Dong Xuan Market so was in a decent position of old quarter.. Great stay
