2.0 "Disinterested service "
Not sure what hotel other reviewers stayed at, but this place was a mess. The room was clean enough, but we'd booked a double bed and were instead given two twins. The service was generally a nightmare. No one wanted to help at all, and communication was non-existent. The staff seemed mystified when we asked them to hold our bags for the day. They will book cars for you, but who to pay - the driver or hotel staff - is never made clear, and whoever DOESN'T get paid is always unhappy. And because the location is somewhat tricky to find, you'll want to use their drivers, because cabs struggle to find it. All in all, not worth the hassle, especially considering the unhelpful, disinterested service.
The location is close to the airport, so it's convenient in that regard. I reserved a room that ostensibly should have been in the back looking over fields. Instead, I got a room in the front looking at the noisy road to the airport. The triple-pane windows helped a bit, but it was earplugs that came to the rescue. The a/c worked fine, which was a good thing given the heat. The chap at the front desk was helpful, but couldn't do much about not having the room I reserved. Given that any such room would have included carrying my luggage up even more stairs (there's no elevator, apparently), I suppose I should be happy with the room I got.
I truly experienced the warmth of Vietnamese hospitality in my stay at Hanoi Airport Hostel. The owner, Mr Dung was warm, reliable and helpful.
For the price I paid, the room was spacious and clean. The venue is relatively accessible to the city centre. I enjoyed the privacy, peace and quiet of the location of the hotel.
It was a good and pleasant stay! :)

5.0 "Feel more than 5 stars hospitality"
This is my first time have visited Vietnam, take Grab with just 10mins journey to get there. The staffs were helpful and friendly for ordering local foods since my first stay do not know exactly how to pronoun of the food.
We had nice chat together without any official manner, just like friend.
If I visit Hanoi again, I will have a short stay and meet them again.

1.0 "Avoid this place!"
Our experience here was awful. We could not check-in at because the receptiobist was asleep. He was very non-friendly and just slammed our key to the table. The room was smelly, unclean and uncomfortable. The sheets were not clean, there was used combs and toothbrushes on the bathroom. Everything felt dirty and we were afraid of the bedbugs first time in Vietnam. Only plus was nice receptionist in the morning, who made usbreakfast. Still AVOID if possible, not worth anything.

Room too small and no escalator. Many stairs to be taken for rooms. But the staff are helpful.

5.0 "Saviour after a cancelled flight!"
Our flight was cancelled and we didn't find out until we arrived at the airport. After arranging the flight for the following morning, we checked hotels on hotel.com. After booking this hostel, I received an email straight away offering to pick us up. When we arrived we were given the room instantly, shown somewhere for local food and offered tea and coffee after our bad evening. The host was so good he even called the hotel in Hue for us to tell them we would be arriving the following day, even tried to negotiate a refund for us. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast cooked for us. We couldn't rate them more after our hectic evening. They managed to salvage the day for us! Highly recommended as s convenient stop over 5 minutes from the airport
The staff and facilities are great. The hostel is ~2.5km from the airport, which is quite close compared to anything else. There's not much to do in this area outside of the airport itself, but this hostel is a nice stopover point before/after going to the airport and Hanoi's city center

As soon as we landed in Vietnam, our first experience of the country and the people was meeting the owner of this hotel and going out for a meal and sampling some of the local food, which was a great introduction for our month of travelling
The staff and the service were exquisite with the owner arranging a tour of Ha Long Bay and Sa Pa for us which are both must see spots for any tourist, and with some confusion between the tour operators and what was our intended intineray, the staff at the hotel were more than willing to sort out any misunderstandings that took place especially considering the language barrier.
After a day flying, having a hotel of this standard to stay in that is a mere two minute drive from the airport cannot be understated in its value
