The hotel is in a great area within walking distance to everything. The staff (especially Lily) was so kind and helpful. We were there during this difficult time of covid 19 and Lily was always so helpful to our family. The breakfast was always great also.

We spent 3 night at Golden Rooster. Two before our trip to Halong Bay and 1 after our return (They were nice enough to hold our big luggage during our trip). The rooms are clean and quiet even though we are in busy and LOUD Hanoi. It’s within walking distance to major sites and a great location to get lost around in. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. They offered to show us different rooms to choose which would better suit our needs.
We stayed in the economy room our first couple of night which have low ceilings so taller people may feel a bit constricted. It was clean and comfortable. For our last night and last night in Vietnam we opted for a room with a terrace since we wanted to take in the views from the comfort of our room and it was totally worth it!!
Breakfast was good and there are more than enough options to fill up before the day.
Overall this place was great. Would stay here again!
The hotel was right in the city which i really like. The staff were super nice. However there was a lot of noise especially in the morning.

Rooms are clean and very comfortable.
Never tried the breakfast because street food always seems like better option.

Fantastic hotel very friendly and very helpful staff. Great location walking distance to everything. Lovely room and big beds. Great value. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Vi havde bestilt Junior s, som var lovet til 45 m2. Men værelserne var kun halv størrelse. Lidt meget støj fra vejen da dør mod en meget lille altan gabte meget. Morgenmaden var sølle, og vi valgte at få den ude i stedet for at få et rimeligt udvalg. Alle var dog søde og hjælpsomme, og ingen klager på personalet.
Great hotel in central Hanoi. Easily accessible to many interesting sites. Peaceful rooms allow you to rest and relax. Staff is kind and attentive. Would stay here again when in Hanoi!

The location of the hotel is close to the downtown area, the rooms are very clean and the design is good. Moreover, the staff were very kind, and when the tour bus did not come on time during the Ha Long Bay tour, they contacted the tour company instead. I would like to use this hotel again when I visit Hanoi again.

We had the cheapest room which may not be for everyone since it is right above the kitchen and the ceiling is really low (I think it's around 190cm). But otherwise, the bed was comfy and breakfast was filling.

We were staying in a Superior Room for 3 nights (included in a tour) previous to staying in the economy room (our booking). The staff were friendly and helpful during our stays. The breakfast which was included had local food and western world options and was very good. Immediately after booking the non-refundable "Economy" room, the Golden Rooster messaged us to sell an upgrade to a Superior room for $10 USD payable directly to them. We were informed that the Economy room had 7 ft ceiling and noisy since it was above the kitchen. We informed the Golden Rooster that this information was not and should be in their listing on Expedia. Expedia attempted to provide us with an upgrade to a Superior room but due to Golden Rooster policies, Expedia was not successful. We viewed the room (#101 above dining room) while we were staying in a Superior room and could still pay an for upgrade.The room is spacious with a modern bathroom but only has 7 ft ceilings with a drop beam or duct allowing 5'8" clearannce near the middle of the room. Fortunately my wife and I are vertically challenged so we were quite comfortable in the room but it's not recommended for anyone taller than 5'7". Avoid room 104 which is directly above the kitchen. The Economy rooms were occupied many nights of our 4 nights at the Golden Rooster. The Golden Rooster should revise their description to Expedia to avoid hassles for guests.
The Golden Rooster Hotel is fantastic! The location is sweet, near all the great eating spots. Walking distance to the best Ban Mi sandwich, and Pho places. The rooms are big and comfortable, the shower was awesome- hot with lots of water pressure and the shower drained really well. The beds are better then most( not hard as a rock) We had a room with no window(don't book those) The little "window" opened into a space between the building and you could hear noises very early from the kitchen, bing banging, and smell of food. The noise from the hallway comes into the room, so not well insulated. There are not enough plugs for us, to recharge everything, so we tried looking behind the beds and found a ton of garbage, dirt and dust back there. But the rest of the room, what you can see was very clean. The bathroom tiles could use a good scrub tho. I found the service to be very good most of the time. I was disappointed once when we came in late one night from walking around for 9 hours, hot and sweaty, we asked for a cold towel they keep in the fridge. They guy said NO, those are for check in only. We never got one at check in. Other then that, everyone was super nice and helpful. Gave us suggestions on where to go. I will say, they asked us to write a review to get discounted shuttle to airport,on tripadvisor,which we did honestly. I received an email from them to go and change our review to make it perfect (not honest)and they would refund us if we did. I find this appalling.
We booked the junior suite which was a good sized room well equipped. We’ve stayed in quite a few hotels in Hanoi and this was definitely great value for a room this size. Pretty good location within easy walking to everything and the breakfast was great. Definitely recommend the junior suite here for value and comfort.

Hotel is very clean ,located in a good area.But my room in 7th floor and lift only reach at 6th floor, so we need to used stair to our room.overall everything its oke....recomended

La estancia fue bastante corta (12h) por lo que cogimos una habitación “economy”. Una vez realizada la reserva, nos mandaron un correo con todas las especificaciones de la habitación y la posibilidad de hacer un upgrade por un módico precio. Se agradece mucho la transparencia, ya que no te llevas ninguna sorpresa al llegar. Si bien la habitación económica tiene techos bajos y no tiene ventana, está muy bien decorada, todo nuevo y muy limpio. Para las horas que estuvimos no nos supuso ninguna incomodidad. El personal es muy atento y el hotel está bien situado. Desde luego repetiríamos.
For a 3 star Vietnamese hotel, this is good value. The room was quiet, fairly clean, but small. The bed was decently comfy. The AC did not cool the room well. There was no exterior window if that is an issue.
The hospitality was excellent and we were very happy with that.
If you’re looking at the economy room (there is only one), it has a 2m ceilings and no window. It is above the kitchen. However, it is newer than the other rooms. Consider it if on a budget.
Really enjoyed our stay at the golden rooster. Very attentive staff and great location (bia hoi around the corner).
We choose a cheaper room and got a message from the hotel with a heads up about the ceiling height and that there wouldn’t be any window in the room. We were totally fine with that. A good heads up (yes pun intended) is that people over 180 would have to bend over quite a bit getting to the room and around it. I’m above 180 and fine with it.
Paid for breakfast one morning and were really happy with what we got. All in all a very good stay.
Staff were amazing, helpful, informative and so friendly. Breakfast was perfect, room was great. Location, best place we’ve stayed in Hanoi. Thankyou Golden Rooster
