My 4th time back to Arcadia. After taken a year off and returning I was very disappointed this once hidden gem on the beach has turned sour. I understand there are new owners since I last visited March 2018. It took two days to empty the trash bins on the beach. I had to tell two different people before anything was done. The rooms are still good nothing special and definitely no upgrades in the last 5 years. The old patio furniture from the bungalows now scatter the beach broken and fallen apart. The private beach is monitored by the restaurant staff and are not very stern on asking none guest to not use the beach chairs and umbrellas.the breakfast that’s included is good at best but it was never great. The friendly girl who once worked the desk has been replaced. Seems they have half the staff and it shows. The Gardner’s and maids always seemed to be doing something. There is so much potential here I hope the owners let it keep sinking.

We arrived at night when it was already dark. The man at the front desk was insistent that we let him keep our passports and that their copy machine was broken. After we said No many times he showed us an unlocked file cabinet filled with other guests passports. Who in their right mind would leave their passport? We settled on our US drivers license because he would not give us the key without something.
Upon arriving in the room it appeared dark and very outdated. Some of the lights in our room did not work and the WiFi did not reach the room. The sheets were dirty, the mattress felt like camping and the two pillows were like sheets of paper. However, the room was quite and the AC worked well.
Our room came with breakfast however it is only served from 7-9.
The location of the beach is nice. People wake up first thing in the morning and claim chairs never to be seen again. People working at the hotel will also sell the open chairs to people walking on the beach not leaving enough for the actual hotel guest.
They also did not have an iron in the entire hotel.
The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very nice and helpful.
This somewhat “dated” resort is all about location. Right on the beach in the old area of Long Beach. I believe Arcadia has the best beach of the resorts in this area. Clean and spacious. Everything is worn and torn in this resort and there is no pool, but this gives you value for money in terms of a calm resort with a nice mix of nationalities. There are a number of decent restaurants in the vicinity and we also went to the surrounding 5 star resorts for excellent dining. All in all we had a fantastic week at Arcadia but as said - you need to manage your expectations.
The property is extremely run down, everything in very poor conditions! Run-down furnitures, broken and old sun-chairs and dirty pads, loud A/C and not always functioning ; nasty attitude of manager and owner /a Ms.Likky Ny and when you complain she shouts and yells at guests and even refused to talk-her English is as bad as her attitude . The staff at the restaurant is nice but poor buffet-breakfast , breakfast only from 7-9 a.m. , no choice of fruit or bread and when you get there at 8.30 almost nothing left ...a waste of money and time to stay at Arcadia Resort ! Over-priced ! Manager refused to refund prepaid charge .
Good hotel, friendly and helpful staff, on the beach, very clean.
Needs a bit of maintenance but fab location.

It is a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, beach and nice cocktails. Rooms are clean and spacious

Hotellet ligger nær stranda og ca 15-20 minutter fra sentrum av øyen.
Hotellet oppbevarer passportet ditt frem til du sjekker ut. Når jeg skulle sjekke ut var de i konflikt med en gjest som var litt sent ute for utsjekking og det ble laget endel støy. Servicen er ikke helt på topp.

Ended up extending our stay by 3 more nights. Beach is very nice and has nice free chairs/umbrellas as well as a beach bar that plays relatively quiet music. Location is pretty good with lots of restaurants/bars around within walking distance. Restaurant is so-so but ok (but since lots of others around, no problem). We stayed in the Premier Room looking out at the water. It's a bit further from the water than expected but still a great view. Evening sun comes right in making it glow but the A/C keeps it cool. Only issue we had was our room had termites eating the headboard and we could hear them while sleeping - really! Staff couldn't do much but I think management needs to close the room soon to tend to this issue. It's a bit dark around at night but I kinda liked it. The staff were as expected - have some patience. Some (especially the front desk dude with a bit of a lazy eye) was amazing and would do anything he could to help! But others were a bit lazy. I think for the price, this is one of the best places to stay in Long Beach.
The hotel is good, just need some repairs and to keep maintenance.
Overall the experience was good, I recommend and would go back again

Probably had the best bit of beach on Long beach and the nicest beach chairs, garden and villas. Lots of choice for bars and restaurants surrounding the resort and only a 10 minute taxi ride to the night markets. It says on their profile it’s a 10 minute walk to the Doung Dong night market. More like 30, but you can easily walk there along the beach or past the many bars and restaurants on the main road.
