에어컨을 켜논지 않으면 쿰쿰한 냄새가 남니다. 하지만 침실을 깨끗하였고 서비스 또한 빠르고 정확했입니다. 하지만 조식은 기대에 미치지 못했습니다. 우리는 세탁서비스를 받았는데 저렴하고 깨끗하며 빨랐습니다. 하지막에 체크아웃을 할 때는 체크인인 할 때의 친절함을 느끼지 못해서 서비스 면에서 하나를 뺏습니다. 아 줄리라는 직원의 서비스는 최고 였습니다.

Highly recommend staying here. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. From helping us buy a Sim card to stepping out from behind the desk to show us directions to local attractions, they left no stone unturned. Old quarter area is lively but noisy. You can hear the music beats till midnight through the double paned window if your room faces the street side. It didn't bother us but those of who prefer peace and quiet should come prepared with ear plugs.
It has a spa located on the second floor, which is reasonably priced and has good specials. Great access to “beer street” Staff are helpful. Breakfast was included which had an adequate choice of foods.
Cons- no sound proofing, so staying in the rooms located near the lift is not great when people mill around outside your door waiting for the lift and have a lovely discussion at 0600. And you can most definitely hear people upstairs. The aircon turns itself off when you leave, we only had one room card so we couldn’t leave the aircon on when we were out.
Great location, great service and staff. Clean rooms.

The Hotel room and Staff were amazing!!!! There were a local festival and Heineken beer concert so it was a nightmare around the hotel. Love our hostess she was amazing at getting us taxis and showing us our room.

This was the second time I had stayed at the delightful Essence Hotel & Spa & I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone travelling to Hanoi.
We were greeted by the manager (Jack) & he chatted to us while we had a complimentary cold drink & our luggage was delivered to our rooms.
The hotel has expended since I was there 6 years ago, as has the restaurant. The rooms were lovely & clean & the staff as friendly & accomodating as ever. The Essence restaurant is excellent.
If I am ever back in Hanoi, I won’t hesitate to stay at the Essence again - it’s like home away from home!

Les chambres sont agréable mais vraiment dommage qu’il n’y est qu’une petite lucarne qui ne s’ouvre Pas Dans les chambres donnant à l’arriere
De plus elle n’ont pas de système de ventilation
Il y en a dans la salle de bain lorsque l’on allume la lumière
Autre problème méfiez vous de ne pas prendre de chambres donnant sur cour et au dessus des cuisines car le matin à partir de 5h30 du matin vous entendrez le personnel préparer le petit déjeuner
Car l’ascdnseur Communique le bruit dans les étages
Je suis rester 4 jours et j’avais l’impression d’etre Dans une boîte
Cela dit la deco est belle la literie est très bonne
Le staff très à l’ecoute,ils m’ont proposer de changer de chambre à cause du bruit et m’ont offert un soin massage
The hotel is great, rooms have nice decor and attention to detail, very clean. Front desk/lobby staff were all very nice and accommodating. Cafe staff were super sweet as well. My only complaint was the minor lack of quiet I experienced. Room 511 shares an adjoining door to the room next door and I could hear every conversation and snoring at night. Other than that, the hotel was quiet especially for being on such a busy street!

5.0 "Over Priced Compared To Neighboring Hotel/Hostels."
Great service, clean, good wifi, hot showers, good breakfast. The second night in Hanoi however I found a hostel literally around the corner that was 1/4 of the price and just as nice. I was beat after a 26-hour trip and purposely did no planning beforehand. It was nice to have a perfect hotel stay my first night but would suggest to anyone else to look elsewhere as it ran around $160 for 2 nights of a 2 bed-room.

7번째 하노이 여행을 하였고 7번 모두 이 곳에서 숙박을 했습니다. 건물이 아주 새 건물은 아니지만 친절,서비스와 청결도 관리 상태등이 한 번도 불만한 적이 없을 정도로 좋았습니다. 다음 여행도 이 곳을 생각하고 있습니다.

This hôtel is really the Best deal in town ! It offers you à high level of services, staff is incredibly helpful, my room was spacious and very very quiet (although in the very noisy old quarter). I let my window opened all night ! Well everything was perfect.

우선, 호텔 간판찾는 것 부터 어려웠고, 밤도착일 경우 찾기 힘듬.
위치는 맥주거리에 있고 10분정도 거리에 어느정도 구경거리는 있어서 다니기는 편함.
방은 아주 작으나 귀여운 편임.
직원들이 친절한 것 같으나, 작은 문제가 생길 경우 굉장히 불편하게 만듬. 나중에는 가식으로 느껴짐.
다시 올 일은 없을 듯.

밤비행기타고 가는 일정이었는데,
비행기 타기도 전에 체크인 첫인상 이메일이 와서 황당했습니다. 누군가가 체크인을 한 것인지 걱정도 되고 무섭더군요..따로 메일 보낼 시간도 없고 우선 호텔을 가봐야 알겠다는 생각으로 비행기를 탔습니다.
그리고 밤 12시 20분 도착 후,
택시를 타고 호텔앞에 내렸는데, 간판이 전혀 보이지 않아 택시를 사기당한 것이 아닌지 겁먹고 무서웠습니다....잘 보이지도 않는 에센스 호텔이라는 글씨를 겨우 찾고 여기가 맞는지 싶은 맘으로 문을 열자.
직원분들이 반기더군요..그제서야 안심이 됐습니다.
피곤한 상태에 체크인을 하고,
다음날 아침, 부모님이 너무 힘들어하서서 조식을 마지막날로 옮길 수 있는지 물어보니, 흔쾌히 해준다 하여 정말 고마웠습니다!그리고 하롱베이 가는 날에는 짐을 맡겨준다고 해서 편하게 잘 다녀왔네요~
하지만 어머니 세탁물 문제가 생겼는데,
차르르 했던 옷이 사이즈가 줄고 부직포가 돼버렸습니다. 그 옷이 4년 전에 어머니가 친구분께 선물받은 옷이라 아끼시던 옷이었는데..옷을 그냥 버리게 됐네요..ㅠㅠ
드라이클리닝이라고 미리 체크하지 못하여 생긴 일이지만.. 호텔측에서도 세탁시 라벨에 붙어있는 표시를 보고 확인할 수도 있었던 문제 같아서 많이 속상합니다...
이런 문제가 생기자 호텔매니저는 표정이 좀 바뀌더군요.. 친절했다고 생각했던 분의 표정이 바뀌자 많이 당황스럽고, 더이상 얘기하고싶지 않을 뿐더러, 이렇게 돼버린 옷을 복구할 수도 없기에 그냥 버리고 왔네요. 호텔측에서는 죄송하다며 맡겼던 세탁비를 안받았습니다만, 어머니께서는 기분이 끝까지 안좋으셨어요..ㅠㅠ저혼자 쩔쩔맸네요....
왓츠앱채팅으로 친절하게 답변해준 직원분도 있었지만, 호텔매니저는 마지막까지 정말 불편했네요..다시는 엮이고 싶지 않습니다........ㅠㅠ

I cannot say enough about this hotel..we stayed 2 nights in Hanoi and this is the best hotel of the 2...located right in the middle of everything in Hanoi..the staff is exceptional...had a 0630 pickup and unable to get free breakfast..no problem...front desk had a "breakfast to go" option upon checkout. The rooms are very nice and clean...going back to hanoi again and booking this hotel.
We booked a family room which is basically 2 rooms with connecting door. Hotel is well located and right smack in Old Quarters along the food street. The rooms were designed in such a way that the noise from the street could not be heard (through airwell / double wall). Spacious room and provided with great amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff (especially Jack). Room rate is quite expensive but is value for money.
Very convenient location with shopping and food.
Staffs are helpful especially Tom and Lizzie. They helped us to have good Vietnamese snack and good information of Ha Long Bay tour

Excellent! My first trip to Vietnam and Essence was perfect! If you are looking for remote and quiet - not for you, but if you want to stay in a best case hotel in a happening location in Hanoi - you will not do any better. The restaurant has a really great menu and the food is to die for. Best restaurant food in a hotel that I have had in many a long year and in my travels to over 50 countries. Staff were excellent. Super friendly without being obsequious, genuine and helpful. I will be going back there, and soon.
Location was very central to all of the Old Quarter! You're right in the thick of city activity when you step outside.

청소년동반 4인 가족 커넥팅룸 이용. 일찍 도착하여 짐보관하는동안 웰컴과일과 쥬스 주심. 호텔 문 열고 나가면 맥주거리임. 주변관광후 호텔에 들어왔을때 룸 업그레이드 해주셔서 감동.
넓은 방과 화장실, 작은 방이 나란히 있음. 방문으로 연결됨. 우린 방문 열어놓고 왔다갔다 함.
침대 넓고 아주 쾌적. 객실도 매우 깨끗함. 뷰는 딱히 없음. 환기 시키는 정도. 조식 맛있음. 체크아웃시 샤워서비스 먼저 말씀해주셔서 감사했음. 덕분에 주변 관광후 저녁에 다시 돌아와 샤워하고 갈수 있었음. 공항 교통편도 먼저 물어봐주시고 이롭게 제시해주셔서 그랩보다 편하고 싸게 공항에 갈수 있었음. 내 돈을 내었지만 기분 좋은 서비스와 인상을 남겨 주어서 감사했음. 직원들 모두 행복하시길 축복합니다.

Staying in the busy heart of the old quarters, you have to be prepared for windows looking into brick walls or dark areas. This hotel is well located and the restaurant and facilities are very good. Rooms we had both had windows looking into dark walled areas so no outlook but well set up so no complaints.
