A magnifique Thai food festival at Sofitel Saigon Plaza

A magnifique Thai food festival at Sofitel Saigon Plaza

“Sawadee!” Sofitel Saigon Plaza is delighted to announce the arrival of a special culinary guest, Chef Manaschai Ratsaiyakan. With a passion to re-create a feeling of Thailand everywhere he goes, Chef Manaschai will tempt and entice diners at Café Rivoli with an irresistible array of Thai treats from May 6th to 13th.

Chef Manaschai will enhance the outstanding gourmet buffet at Café Rivoli with his wonderfully creative delicacies. Fascinated by traditional cooking and Thai ingredients from an early age (he made his first steps in his family’s kitchen), Manaschai started his career in 1992.

He benefits from diverse experiences as a Thai Chef in Thailand and overseas, including Andaman Kitchen Bangkok and Hilton International Hotel Bangkok. In 2000, he joined Accor group as a senior Chef in Thai kitchen at Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen. Five years later, his desire to share the secrets of Thai cuisine with other cultures led him to Korea, where he joined Silk Spice restaurant in the position of Exclusive Thai Chef. Currently, Chef Manaschai is working at Pullman Bangkok King Power as Executive Sous-Chef Thai Kitchen for the last three years.

“Thai cuisine is a favorite of gourmet food aficionados around the world. It is well known for diversity of ingredients, complex spiciness and intricate flavors and aromas“. - said Philippe Godard – the General Manager of Sofitel Saigon Plaza. “Thai food is a balance of five flavors – spicy, salty, sweet, sour and bitter to awaken all the senses when enjoying the food and we are delighted to bring this culinary experience to our guests at Cafe Rivoli”. – Godard further added.

Café Rivoli is an international all-day dining featuring a culinary discovery with dishes around the world (French, Vietnamese, Chinese, Singapore, Thai) as well as a live carving station for “a la minute” orders and a fantastic buffet dedicated to a large dessert 6 to 12 years at VND 355,000++ per person.

An exceptional Thai cooking class will be proposed by Chef Manaschai on Sunday, May 8th from 10.00 am to 12.00 with an amazing 3-course lunch with the Chef at only VND 500,000 net per person. Limited to 8 persons only.
